A Memorable Visit to the Royal Opera House Muscat
As part of our school’s educational outreach program, the members of our choir recently visited the Royal Opera House Muscat to experience the captivating Exhibition of Musical Arts titled Oman and the World: A Musical Journey.
This exhibition offered an extraordinary exploration of the unique story of music across the globe, told through the lens of Oman’s rich musical traditions. Students were treated to an immersive and interactive audio-visual experience that illuminated the universal language of music.
The exhibition was thoughtfully divided into six fascinating sections—Nature, Science, Instruments, Community, Connections, and Performance—each offering insights into how music connects people, cultures, and histories. Our students gained a deeper understanding of how music works, how it has evolved worldwide, and what it signifies in our lives. They also learned about the great artists of Oman and the wider region, further enriching their appreciation of musical artistry.
For our students, this visit was both educational and inspiring. It was an incredible opportunity to bond with one another while discovering the unifying power of music. The smiles and animated conversations on the way back to school were a testament to how much they enjoyed the experience.
