“Let’s Talk Mental Health” – Staff Workshop
On 22 January 2026
Our Student Counsellor, Ms. Razan Al Rahbi, led a brief yet impactful workshop titled “Let’s Talk Mental Health.” The session highlighted the importance of recognising mental health challenges, supporting students with empathy, and creating a positive, stigma-free school environment. Staff also learned practical strategies such as Mental
Health First Aid and grounding techniques.
The workshop highlighted the crucial message that mental health affects everyone and that a caring, aware school community can make a meaningful difference. Staff members left the session equipped with practical tools to support students and each other, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a
safe, nurturing, and emotionally healthy school environment.

What an absolutely thrilling day it was! Our Cricket Open Day, held on 15th December, was a resounding success, buzzing with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared love for the game. The event provided our students with a fantastic platform to sharpen their cricketing techniques and celebrate their passion for cricket.
Under the expert guidance of our dedicated coach, *Mr. Pradeep Kumar* , the day was a perfect blend of skill-building sessions, friendly competition, and pure fun, making it a truly memorable experience for all our young cricketers.

What a sensational performance from our U13 Boys Cricket Team, registering back-to-back victories with a thrilling win against Pakistan School Seeb!
Chasing a target of 116 runs, the match went right down to the wire as our team displayed incredible determination and calm under pressure. In a heart-stopping finish, SLSM reached 117/8 in 19.5 overs, clinching a memorable two-wicket victory.
This final group encounter was a true test of character, and the boys rose to the occasion with outstanding teamwork, resilience, and fighting spirit. Every run mattered, every wicket was crucial, and the never-say-die attitude made this win extra special.

The SLSM U16 boys wrapped up their last group match in emphatic fashion with a superb victory against Pakistan School Seeb U-16, showcasing their never-give-up fighting spirit that has defined the tournament, especially through several close finishes that tested their character and resilience.
After a disciplined and determined bowling effort, Pakistan School Seeb U-16 were bowled out for 145 runs in 24.0 overs. The bowlers kept the pressure on from start to finish, picking up timely wickets and setting the tone for the chase.
In reply, the Sri Lankan School Muscat U16 batsmen displayed confidence, patience, and maturity, chasing down the target to reach 146/4 in 20.4 overs, sealing a convincing 6-wicket win.
This all-round performance was the perfect way to conclude the group stage, reflecting the team’s resilience, fighting spirit, and belief till the very end.

We’re excited to share that the SLSM U13 Cricket Team clinched an amazing victory in their 3rd match of the OC Junior League, defeating Indian School Wadi Kabhir Cambridge by a stunning 9 wickets!
Huge congratulations to our young champs for their outstanding teamwork and performance on the field!
Meanwhile, our U16 team displayed incredible grit in their match against Indian School Mabela. Despite a heartbreaking loss by just 1 run, their resilience, determination, and remarkable comeback were truly inspiring.

Despite the final result, the match will be remembered for *Aditha’s outstanding unbeaten century (101)**, which stood out as the defining highlight. Opening the innings, he showed excellent composure and control, anchoring the innings and guiding the team to a competitive total. His knock was built with patience and responsibility, reflecting maturity well beyond his age. Aditha was supported by E. Kavith (17) and M. Awais (7), while he continued to lead from the front under pressure. It was a high-quality performance that showcased his skill, temperament, determination, and growing leadership at the U16 level.
Aditha also contributed with the ball, underlining his value as a genuine all-rounder. His all-round effort stood out as the highlight of the match, reflecting his skill, determination, and leadership at the U16 level.
